TREE MARKER: A tree marker bent over is called a "Waum Tug Zee" in my language, These markers were " set and pointing in a certain direction" all over the islands and shores of the Great Lakes for safe passage. Very few remain as others were chopped down by people who purchased these islands for recreation.
